Summer is for Fruit Picking in Brentwood, CA

Apricots, peaches, nectarines, and cherries--all for the picking. Although cherry season went fast, U-pick farms in Brentwood (10 minutes away from us) continue their fruit-picking season until august.

It was the first time I tasted an apricot. It was sweet, juicy--a cross between a peach and lychee, I liked it better than peaches. It is always a privilege to pick fruit from the tree and then eat it. You can taste all the sunshine and the freshness versus the ones in the grocery stores that racked up miles, gas, and days to sit there.

I plan to take Mikko, Sylvia, Chiara and Gaby, and Mayoy fruit-picking when they visit in July.

Check it out.

Canada Wonderland

Canada Woderland is much better now with the change in management than when Allee and I went there in 2005. There are more characters and kiddie rides now. Renzo really enjoyed it.

Enrico and Jake

. . . .siempre, CUENCA

So we went to this Fiesta Filipino in Civic Center Plaza, San Francisco, to support Ricky's Mama Sita Food Booth, when Jake Cuenca sang onstage and since we wanted to know if Nico was taller than Jake, I sent Nico to stand beside him to see.

Mahirap palang maging paparazzi. . .

P.S. Jake is taller :(

Rammy and me

It took us 9 hours of road travelling, but it was well worth seeing Rammy, Chinggay, Bianca and Paco boy. We only had a few hours together, but it was wonderful being able to see and make kwento with Rammy and Chinggay. I do miss them a lot, and I was soooo happy to be able to touch them and actually see them face to face. I will look forward to a longer and sooner get together again. eena

Sunday activities in NJ

Mayoy, Mikko, Sylvia, Miguel and Chiara and Gaby, took us to the Jackson outlet for the entire afternoon. Needless to say we enjoyed the great deals and of course the Haagen Daz Belgian chocolate shake (courtesy of Mig!).

Then Kuya Kit and Ched had all of us over for dinner. We were also treated to yes - burgers and hotdogs!! It was great seeing everyone in NJ again.

Our family vacation

It was a long awaited family vacation, especially for Pochito and Pepeton. It would also be the first time for Poch and me to spend that much time together. The trip went very well - we all enjoyed. It is possible to be friends and parents to wonderful kids. I could tell the boys were very happy to spend time with both Poch and me. I guess our annual vacations will continue, and this is for the love of our boys. Here is a shot of each of the places we went to - SFO, Universal, LA, Vegas, NY and NJ. eena
