A Time for Peace

My mom and Tita Maridel have been admirable as they remain friends. Though a bit skeptical, it was a time for peace for me when we all got together for Easter. It was a pleasure to bond more with Mara. Mara took to the girls, Selena and Monica, more; and of course, she missed Maui very much.

It is inevitable that Tita Maridel is also family now. I was wrong to think that I could remain distant. This Easter was a revelation and a pleasant one, too.

Cooperation is way more evolved than competition. Thanks for everyone's support!

2009 SF Visit

Once again I got a chance to visit SF and spend some time with Minotte and family as well as tita Priscilla.
This time I took Cente and his girlfriend Kelly with me. Cente and Maui were able to spend some much overdue quality time together. Ricky even cooked us a delicious (spicy) dinner.
Aside from spending time with family, we also toured SF and enjoyed some time in Napa.
We had a wonderful time and as always, Minotte and family were great hosts. Thanks to all! yoy

Bagoong Club

Our dinner last night at Bagoong Club for Mayoy, was as in all cousin get togethers, fun, fun fun - and may pagka bastos. hehe. What's a gathering without reminiscing our good old, baboy times, right?

Monette joined us too so it was extra fun.

We will miss Mayoy!!

I have just set-up a social network site named TilamsikNet. It functions the same as Facebook. As of now, the members are Rosky, Franco, Pixie, Minotte, Lia and Joey. Ricky's 45th

Ricky celebrated his 45th at the Contra Loma Regional Park last July 6. We were joined by our badminton friends, the Consunji's--tita Baby, Becky and husband, Bong, and Bobby and wife, Aleli. Mikko, Sylvia and girls came with Ed-g and Ana Rianzarez.

Everyone liked Ricky's pinaghirapan and delicious na Aristocrat-style BBQ and Chicken Satay.

Summer is for Fruit Picking in Brentwood, CA

Apricots, peaches, nectarines, and cherries--all for the picking. Although cherry season went fast, U-pick farms in Brentwood (10 minutes away from us) continue their fruit-picking season until august.

It was the first time I tasted an apricot. It was sweet, juicy--a cross between a peach and lychee, I liked it better than peaches. It is always a privilege to pick fruit from the tree and then eat it. You can taste all the sunshine and the freshness versus the ones in the grocery stores that racked up miles, gas, and days to sit there.

I plan to take Mikko, Sylvia, Chiara and Gaby, and Mayoy fruit-picking when they visit in July.
