I never knew Pochito was a Die Hard Fan of the Ramones. He knew everything about them. As we were having an early dinner in Lower Manhattan last Friday, I metioned that the old club, CBGB was just a few blocks from where we were. Pochito's eyes lit up and asked his parents if he can go there and see it......but they were in a hurry to catch a play uptown. So I volunteered.
As we walked towards the place. I could see him getting excited.....I told him not to expect a lot because the place has since closed, and I do not know what replaced it. True enough after asking the Locals, we reached the place. It's now a clothing store, but because CBGB had so much history, the new owner preserved most of the posters and the stage.......The Ramones even left the original drum set! We walked in and Pochito looked like he was walking on Holy Ground.
Security overheard Pochito and I talking........and he goes "Hey kid, do you play the drums?..........Do you want to play?".....HE PLAYED THE DRUMS OF THE RAMONES IN CBGB!!!!!!!!!............and I will let the pictures speak for itself!

haha, i read about bagoong club in one of your posts. really interested in visiting the resto. apparently, your resto and our office is in the same street. nasa brgy. laging handa nga lang kami. haha. regards.
Mig, tama ka diyan - that visit was the highlight of Pochito's trip. THANK YOU for bringing him there. It is an experience he will NEVER forget - thanks to you!! eena
